PROJECT NAME
Santa Paula, California

Project Background:
Green Street Alley is a linear pocket park in Santa Paula’s historic Downtown District. The neglected, asphalt alley served as a pedestrian linkage from an isolated parking lot to Santa Paula’s Main Street shopping corridor. The renovated, fully accessible connector now terminates at Main Street with a bubbling fountain and features permeable open joint brick paving, raised planters that double as seating surfaces, flowering trees and shrubs and accent and safety lighting. While providing safe access between the parking lot and Main Street was the focus of the project, the space also functions as a gathering space for small events and off the street relaxation within the Downtown District.

Client:
Santa Paula Public Works Department

Design & administrate construction of parking, hardscape, planting, irrigation, lighting and fountain.
